Mary Chilton, our Family’s 8th Great Grand Mother, Is Recognized as the 1st Woman To Step Foot Off The Mayflower

Mary Chilton was a brave woman. She was the first woman to step foot on American soil. Her father died on the Mayflower. Half of those that made it across the Atlantic died that first winter of an epidemic including Mary's mother. 13 year old Mary became an orphan. She is also our 8th Great Grandmother and made history with her leaps of faith - in the new world, a new great city (Boston) and a future family that were first settlers across this entire nation.
